STERILISING DRY-MIST TREATMENT

Vortech Systems have been treating super yachts with our air and surface sterilising dry-mist treatment for the past 3 years and are pleased with the acceptance and recognition it has received. We are capable of performing two different air and surface sterilization of treatments:

• Pro-Active: This is where a vessel is seeking to improve their overall indoor air quality and surface decontamination using our D&I product. It is effective against allergy and disease-causing bacteria, viruses, toxic mold and numerous insect pests.
• Re-active: This treatment is performed where it is known that there has been a virus onboard. It is formulated for use in hospitals, institutional, Industrial and residential facilities to kill and

What service do we offer?

   We can set our machine up quayside
   or directly on the boat. There are no
   hiding places that our dry-mist will
   not find and effectively kill viruses,
   pathogens, bacterias and moulds.

VORTECH SYSTEMS offers both a pro-active and reactive solution that is capable of killing airborne and surface pathogens such as Novel H1N1 Swine Flu, MRSA, Norovirus, Legionella, Hep C, E-coli and Influenza whilst also being able to kill gram positive and negative bacteria, viruses and toxic mold.

Is it yacht friendly?

The Dry-Mist treatment is SAFE, NON-CORROSIVE and DOES NOT CONTAIN HARMFUL CHLORINE BLEACH or HYDROGEN PEROXIDE which is a dangerous oxidizer that destroys fibres, materials and is also corrosive to electronics etc. The Dry-Mist Treatment is a dry application which leaves no visible residue. A treated enclosed environment may safely be re-occupied quickly, saving time and promoting productivity.

VORTECH SYSTEMS decontamination applications are EPA (Environment Protection Agency) registered formulae. Each product is formulated to eliminate a wide range of contaminants within an environment. In post treated areas there will be a vast improvement in the overall air quality which is particularly beneficial for people with respiratory problems. The treatment also helps to kill those bacteria which are usually responsible for creating unpleasant odors within confined areas.

   purified leaving a continous protective
   veil of protection.

Simple Set Up

VORTECH SYSTEMS will arrive punctually quayside on the predetermined time and date. We will meet with the Captain or Officer to discuss our working procedure and to see if there is anything that the Vortechnician needs to know prior to starting the job.

After making a work plan we are able (upon request) to take a number of air samples. We do this pre and post treatment which will then be sent to an independent laboratory for culturing and data processing to quantify any airborne mould, bacteria or general allergens and the effectiveness of our treatment. Once we have completed our samples we will then isolate our treatment areas thus preventing any residual mist from passing through into habited areas. We are now ready to start our treatment.

Ready, Steady, Go...

After taking internal dimension measurements we are able to programme our dry-mist machine. The machine then is able to calculate the treatment time required for each location or combined multiple locations.

The dry-mist is propagated within the machine before being projected out through the vent into the hosing and then within seconds travels the length of the flat bag hosing into the treatment area.

In turn the dry-mist is projected throughout the area, within cupboards, under tables and into air handlers passing anywhere free air is able to flow.

Post Treatment

We then leave the mist to dwell and slowly disperse to maximize effectiveness before we use our filtrated Microban Hepa Air Scrubbers to remove any excess airborne particles.

VORTECH SYSTEMS will then inform the person responsible that the treated areas can be re-occupied and normal operation can be resumed within said areas.
